We were so excited when Sarah reached us about photographing and filming her wedding at Branell Homestead. We love country weddings….there is something special about them.

We arrived Monday morning to Branell Homestead. It was beautiful sunny day, just perfect day to get married 🙂 The property is located just outside Laidley, in the Lockyer Valley, just one hour from Brisbane. We haven’t been photographing a wedding before at Branell so we arrived earlier to check the location. Branell Homestead is situated on 80 acres with lake, private jetty and large mango orchard. There is Homestead accommodation with antique furnishings and beautiful floor to ceiling library, where girls got ready in the morning. Meanwhile, boys were getting ready in a luxury cabin on the top of the hill. The view from the cabin is just spectacular!

Julian & Sarah chose to spend their wedding day in one place. They arrived even day before to enjoy the property and to tune some final details. Their ceremony took place on the lawn and Sarah’s dad and mum was walking her down the aisle. After exchanging vows, rings and first kiss, there was time for celebration with family and friends. Later that day, we took Julian & Sarah for a walk around the property to enjoy their first moments alone as a husband and wife.
